Vintage Steampunk Man Card

card 1
I am in the process of consolidating my mother's and my art rooms.  She needs a library and I need more stamps!  A win win!  Tee hee!  You will be seeing a lot of throwback rubber stamps.  My mom has the coolest stamps!!!  Mostly, I was so excited to find this Stampers Anonymous gear stamp that my friend Bonnie had loaned me.  YAY!  I mixed it with another clock image and embossed in copper for my background.  The text is Prima and 5 cent is a rub on.
card 2
No surprise that I used watercolor for my background panel.  Somehow I used the wrong black ink and it bled, but I loved the way it turned my brown paint green!  Happy accidents...
card 3
I made this card the other day, but felt like it needed something.  Thankfully, my sweet new friend Anne sent me some die cut Tim Holtz cogs.  Thanks Anne!  What a kind and generous thing to do!  I love you already!  I dyed it to match my background, then lightly embossed it in copper.
card 4
The torn papers are Prima.  I'm telling you - this card took me ten minutes to make, but makes me so happy!  I hope you like it and hope my husband will to.  He has two boys that look up to him so much.  I am thankful that he tries his best to do what is right.

How lovely to have a crafty Mum Autumn, the best I could have hoped for would be loads of wool and knitting needles and I just can't knit. Another lovely artistic creation.

Oh wow Autumn - this is a such a cool card! I find it so difficult to make masculine cards or masculine themed anything and you have nailed it here! I think that by far my most favourite part was the bunched up cord that is stapled on - what a genius focal point! Awesome stuff. - Candice -

This is just so perfect for a man and I bet your hubby loves it, especially with the two boys on it. Love the embossed watches and the string...you did a brilliant job on the cog too, so glad you found them useful! Best of luck with the 'merger' - I don't envy you that task though! Hugs, Anne xx

A very wonderful masculine card. I love the TH cogs dies. I also like how you added the fiber and the staple.

Wow, Autumn, I seriously cannot keep up with all your wonderful creations! My computer cannot move that fast! this is one heck of a masculine card, and I love every square centimeter of it. I have to say I adore that focal image and you can see I have it, too! http://sarascloset1.blogspot.com/2015/06/anything-but-cute-mixed-media-challenge.html Love all the little details and how every piece here is perfectly placed, as if it was meant to be. You are the MASTER of collage, my dear! Thank you for the high five for the gears card and bringing ECD's win to my attention. I was just there this morning, linking up my current project to the closed challenge, and never thought to check for a new post. Oh well, not all is lost--I linked it up to the NEW challenge! To answer your question on the gears mold, it is Mod Podge and I picked up at Michaels in the glue section. I hope that helps. The wooden gears are from Hobby Lobby. Big hugs! I'll try to keep up with your makes, but forgive me if that doesn't happen in a timely fashion. I'm so slow on the computer, and my computer is so SLOW!

Ps I forgot to say "10 minutes!? Wow! I can't get to my Closet in 10 minutes!" and a side note...I am cleaning out some of my stash in the Closet, because we are having a huge yard sale next weekend. I took out over 40 sets of stamps and over 300 individual stamps! Some are pretty cool, but how will I ever use that many when I have my other 3000 favorites!? Good luck on the room flip flop!

Awesome layering on a fabulous masculine card, Autumn!
I love the bit of bling you have added by using the metal embossing powder - it makes the whole design look even more rusty and "metal-ish". Love it!
Thank you for playing along with us at SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenges!

You have done an awesome job on this man card - the most difficult kind of card to make, in my opinion. You are so lucky to be able to benefit from the awesome stamps that your mom has!
