PaperArtsy Infusions and Lynne Perrella Paper Doll Canvas for 3UP

canvas 1

It is with great joy today that I share this paper doll canvas art on the PaperArtsy blog for the 3UP event!  You would not believe how happy I was to hear that I had been selected to receive three of Lynne Perrella's sets for PaperArtsy.  I decided to focus on Collection 028 and create a paper doll on a beautiful bed of Infusions.

canvas 2

Love has lifted her and she floats over her city...

canvas 3

To create my background I spritzed a gessoed canvas panel with water, then sprinkled A Bit Jaded Infusions over the water, rubbing with my finger to blend the color.  I used a heat tool to move the color around, creating this unusual pattern.

canvas 4

Next I repeated the process on the alternate side using Lemoncello Infusion.

canvas 5

I added a second layer over each side and allowed the colors to drip.

canvas 6

Meanwhile, I worked on some manila card creating some similar backgrounds to stamp onto.  I used these pieces to stamp the face and the cityscape, and for die cutting the leaves/wings (Prima die).

canvas 9

I found a rather fun technique in the process.  I splashed water onto my inky panel, then dabbed with a dry cloth to remove some of the color.  I thought this gave a starry night effect.

canvas 10

I used vintage lace to form her train and a Prima flower to tie it all together.

canvas 11

She is embellished with a metal headdress and tiny, tiny pearl buttons.  I took her to see my dear friend and we used velcro to hang her on the side of the house.  The wind came by and we caught this pic of her dancing in the wind.  Thank you so much PaperArtsy for your generosity and innovation in the stamping industry.  I am truly honored to participate in this celebration of stamping.  I love every single image that you provided and will definitely purchase more colors of Infusions.  They are an amazing product, with none the like.

Check out my Lynne Perrella Infusions project for Frilly & Funkie from earlier today HERE.  Double the stamping, double the fun!
