Distress Oxide Mixed Media Canvas Tutorial

What a fun time I've had this week playing with my new Distress Oxide pads.  I created this happy little canvas as a nod to warmer days a coming.

Some closeup details of this yummy DOX background.

Make sure to check out the full background tutorial at Stamps & Stencils.

I layered my found relative with various DOX inky papers and Spellbinders wreath dies, also inked with DOX.

I just love this little girl!  I am part fish, so she and I have a lot in common.  :)

I used a combination of Prima flowers with my new Tim Holtz Small Tattered Florals die.  These yellow flowers make me so happy!  I used Art Stones for my centers.  The leafy die is by Verve Stamps.  Thank you for visiting today!

That is a lovely summery page, Autumn, much needed here where there are 80-mile-an-hour winds at the moment! Gorgeous playtime with the Oxides. I've been having my first dabble with them and having a fabulous time (got a PA post due this evening so can't share til tomorrow).

Fabulous first play with the DOX! You have inspired me more than you will ever know! I had my first play with mine the other day, and it was a total wash out! I did end up using one with a stamp and I was impressed. I am VERY impressed by your sunny background here and your adding the DOX to paste! So clever, you! So you are a fish?! Not me! Perhaps we should swap addresses! I'm a hilly billy, and it's been awhile since anyone has seen me in a swimsuit!! Tee Hee! Off to have a look at your tutorial! Hugs!
