DIY Wedding Favor Lantern for Tim Holtz Creativation 2017

The new Bigz large lantern die has got to be the cutest thing!  What a pleasure it was to create a project with this die for Creativation.  Tim wanted to gear one of the projects towards the DIY wedding market, which aligned perfectly with my ideas for the die.

I filled a tulle bag with bird seed and placed it inside my lantern.  What a great place setting this would make for a small wedding dinner.

I created the cascading flowers by mixing both the new Small Tattered Florals with the Tiny Tattered Florals spiral dies.

My favorite detail was the inked and embossed branch that stabilizes the flowers and also acts as a holder for the bride and groom's names.  I printed this chalkboard name panel and cut it with Tim's label die set.

Here is a photo Anita Houston shared of the Sizzix display.  Thanks Anita!  You can see the other designer's lanterns.  There are so many options with this die!  Thanks again to Tim, Mario, and Paula for making this all come together!  What an amazing release and show!

Absolutely gorgeous and unique! Love the distressed look of the lantern - almost like it's been weathered outside. The cascading flowers are fantastic as well and whole thing perfectly put together. The last photo is just magical - I spotted your lantern immediately!
