Postcards from Paris Shabby Chic Card

Happy Wednesday my friends!  Today we begin a new challenge at Frilly and Funkie and our hostess Sara Emily has chosen the theme Letter Perfect.  She says, "According to Merriam Webster, 'letter perfect' is defined as "correct to the smallest detail". We're not asking you to be immaculate or flawless; we just want to see letters or words on your vintage or shabby chic project. They don't have to be the focus, but be sure we can see them!"

One of my crafty BFF's is going to Paris this June!  How exciting!  I created this card especially for her.  I used some of the beautiful lettering collage elements on the Prima Love Story 6x6 pad and a postcard (from Paris!) from the Prima Wild & Free A4 pad.  Even though I can't go, I'm imagining the fun we'd have together and added these sweet friends from the photo booth images.

I embossed this Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Eiffel Tower in Stampendous Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel.

I added a beautiful heart charm from Linda's shop.  I double stitched the edge of my Love Story paper and die cut with the new Mixed Media 5 Thinlets set to let the pink backing show.

I tried to do a more splotchy dye with my seam binding and love it!

My flowers are handmade with a combination of Tattered Florals and Spellbinders Build a Carnation dies.  I lightly sponged the wet edges of the petals with Worn Lipstick.  For a tutorial on the half flowers see my post HERE.  The leaf dies are by Prima and the Venise lace is one of Linda's shop specialties.    I hope you are inspired and will play along with our current challenge for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

Oh my how beautiful Autumn, up close those flowers look so real. The Eiffel Tower look magnificent embossed in shabby pink, could you even imagine the real thing embossed in the same way!! That hidden lace and tied on heart are just the sweetest addition to its detail.

I just had to come by to tell you how gorgeous this is - a true Autumn-original! Love it!! Sorry for being MIA here for a little while. It's Ramadan so not much can be accomplished that's not about praying, fasting (then eating) and getting much needed sleep! ;) Hope you and your family are doing better. Have a wonderful rest of your week!
