Tim Holtz Autumn Wishes Leaves Card

Hi there and welcome!  Today I'm sharing more of a shabby chic style card with you.  I wanted to create some lighter color schemes in my fall designs this year, so I dipped my white panel into Antique Linen Distress Ink, then added some stamping in Rusty Hinge.  I used the Tim Holtz Ledger Script and Ornate Trims stamps and some Nature's Wonder leaves, stamped behind the circles.

I made my flower with Tim's Tattered Florals die using Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks.  I tucked in the pine cones from the Festive Greens die set and some of Tim's jute string with some sisal fibers.

I used the 1" Alphanumeric set for the sentiment, with a Small Talk sticker.  I used Tim's Stitched Circles and cut the bottom one with my Wendy Vecchi plaid background stamp I shared HERE.  The perched butterfly is from Tim's Botanical Ephemera set.  I sanded it lightly and added a touch of Vintage Photo sponging.

I tucked in a few dyed leaves from the Fall Foliage die set to complete the design.  I hope you've been inspired by this light, bright card design.

How exquisite, Autumn! I think this is my new favorite card! Your tattered flowers, the entire floral spray, the subtle inking, the plaid background, the abundance of gorgeous leaves - so beautifully done. I like the little border, and background words, too. This is a melt-my-heart creation. We have not had many monarch butterflies this past month - but in the past few years, we have had a large number of the "sulphur" butterflies that used to be only down south- beginning 50 miles south of us. I looked up a link - https://www.naplesnews.com/story/life/home-garden/2017/04/01/sulphur-butterflies-add-color-southern-florida-yards-and-gardens/99811782/ - even during the occasionally gusty winds and extremely muggy day yesterday with Hur. Michael having gone by, I saw the Sulphurs nourishing themselves. Usually we have these monarchs everywhere except during the very cold months in my pentas and coleus. Your card certainly does have a richness that brings to mind pumpkin pie, Love found among friends, and pure joy! Thanks for the inspiration this morning! xx

Dear Autumn, you're so special for me!
There is always something more in your cards, they come to life!
It's a simple card but so alive !!! I love it and that magnificent flower,
I think that not even the great Tim Holtz would be able to create such a beautiful flower from the Tattered Florals die.
Big Hugs!
