AALL & Create Mini Books & Fungi Cards

Hello friends!  I've been playing with my new collection of AALL & Create stamps and have joined in the Fanatics FB group and Tracy Evan's Craft Addicts FB group and am having such a great time playing along with my fellow stampers.  Particularly, Tracy has been sharing a series of FB lives daily to keep our crafting community strong.  Thank you Tracy!  She issued a challenge to us to make these little one page wonder books and I ended up making two!  You can catch the replays on Tracy's YouTube channel HERE.

I wanted to show you just how easy it is to get going with these books.  I took a very thin piece of cardstock and painted with Distress Paint daubers, the easiest thing I could think of.  Even such a messy background can turn into great little pages when you fold the book up.

I tried to use all the stamps I have in my collection for variation.  The details were added with Distress Oxides, Fresco acrylics, a black Pitt pen and a white Sharpie marker.

On my first book I stitched the pages together, which adds a fun texture.  I didn't make covers for this one.  I just altered the front and back.

Wouldn't this make a great way to use up your gelli prints?!  I thought so, so I did a second book and printed it.The base of this one was kraft card and I used Frescos and my gelli plate.

I used the same stamps but tried to arrange them differently.

I did a lot of coloring with Distress Inks/Markers and a waterbrush.  I added torn tissue tape/washi for texture here and there.

And this one got "real" covers and even a closure.  I haven't had this much fun stamping in I don't know when!  I do hope you will try your hand at one of these little books.

And here are some cards I shared yesterday on the Topflight Stamps blog.  Hop on over for the details.

Thanks so much guys!

I'm not into making journals. I have started a few. I really love your small journals and plan on giving them a try. The color pallet is lovely. Nice project to do during these trying times. Uplifting, something I can finish!

Love your colorful books! I will have to try this. I've been doing a lot of paper collage lately and feel the need to get messy with paint again! Thanks for the inspiration. Hope everyone there is safe and well.
