The Word Art Wednesday printable sentiment was perfect to compliment these papers. I cut it in a circle, then dipped it into a watery puddle of Frayed Burlap DI, they layered onto a brown doily.
I'm submitting this card for the GDT post for Word Art Wednesday HERE.
For my second inspirational card I stamped the leaves from this Verve Stamps set in moss green chalk ink onto the middle panel. It was hard to photograph, but worked well with the leaf die (TH). I don't know why I keep doing monochromatic cards, but that's what happens. :) This sketch would also work well with the WAW sentiment this week, but I'm anxious to use my Verve stamps. I'm linking this one to the VLV October Week 5 challenge HERE. Thanks for looking!
This is absolutely GORGEOUS! I love your color combination, they are similar to the colors I used on my card this week. I also love your second card. You're such a busy and creative artist. Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week!

P.S. Autumn, if you wouldn't mind.....can you please email me. I would love to have you join us in November. I know I'm too late for this coming week's challenge, but you can jump in whenever you're ready. We really need the extra help this month.

Both are lovely creations Autumn, but me eyes keep going back to the beautiful rich colours and detail of the first.

Two gorgeous cards, really like them both, xxx
ReplyDeleteLots of deliciousness on these cards. I'm partial to #1 with the gorgeous flowers & brightly colored birds. Some great fussy cutting on these motifs, but looked splendid against this wonderful dp. Liked the die cut shape peeking from the 'swoop' of the dp at the top and the etched button over the thread bow. Lovely combination of texture, color and beauty. #2 is equally lovely, with the fresh colors, more of the thread bow & machine stitching. Love these circle sentiments, and nicely done 'vintage' aging! TFS
ReplyDeleteBoth such wonderful cards, Autumn!!!! Those little birds are darling and the neatly fussy cut flowers and the strip of patterned paper in the middle is so lovely!!!! Your bows are really pretty and the monochromatic look of the second card is beautiful!! Such a lot of loveliness on both cards!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!!

ReplyDeleteI really love your color combo and contrasts in the first card! Of course, both cards are so well assembled... you are always right-on, but it looks like you were experiencing ZEN CRAFTING... these are sine of my fave works of yours... could use any sentiment.
ReplyDeletebeautiful card and the two birds on top is just perfect for the whole layout ^_^
