For my focal point I stamped and embossed the flower and leaves in black, then gave them a wash of the same inks watered down.
I rubbed a pigment ink around the edges of the shape and embossed with gold EP. I love how this highlights the stencil paste!I decided to use the letters from Tim Holt'z sentiment die. To line them up straight I used the cast off of the die. I applied a super thin strip of mounting tape to each letter, then carefully lined them up in the holes. I hope you like this very nontraditional ornament. I really had fun making it! Hope to share the second with you soon, just ran out of time last night.

Hello Autumn! Oh I just love the colours you have used, they work so beautifully together and the shapes and textures are just perfect! it is such a lovely ornament for the tree and the gold sets it off wonderfully well! Cxx (FA for November at Anything But Cute)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, this is an awesome ornament for your tree. First, handmade with love, is always the best decoration for any tree. Love that you used the die shape, all the mixed media supplies to make it such an eye grabber too. The gold of the sentiment really shines, and I love the stencil design. Great idea to highlight that pretty flower as you did with the colors. TFS & Hugs

Autumn, this is such a festive ornament and those non traditional colors just sweep me off my feet. Adding those gold touches put those greens and yellows over the top, and your ornament just glows in the light of the tree! So pretty! I agree, I love how the embossing powder highlights the texture paste! Thank you for joining our It's Ornamental challenge at Anything But Cute. Hugs! Sara Emily DT
