Tim Holtz January 2016 Tag
I finally quit procrastinating over Tim's January tag. I absolutely could not figure out what stamp to use. So I started digging and came across this gem of a stamp from ages ago that I've used countless times by Stampington & Co.
The embossing folder is Tim's and was the first one I ever purchased. Awe... I liked that it had the crown and time piece. I was out of adhesive foil so I slopped some Mod Podge onto a piece of card and carefully dropped regular old aluminum foil over it. There were some small bubbles and creases, but when I ran it through the machine they worked out. I will definitely be doing this again!
I aged the foil with black gesso. The numbers are some cool magnets that my friend Bonnie found and shared with me.
I'm sharing with Tim's January 2016 tag post HERE.
Fantastic tag Autumn! Love the embossed foil! One of my favorite techniques! Thanks for the inspiration!

Perfect! Amazing colours!
ReplyDeleteThat's gorgeous Autumn, love the embossing folder and the white embossing is giving a better effect than the Crystal EP does (IMHO). Great discovery too with the aluminium foil!

What an amazing tag! I love all the detail in the embossed portion, and that stamp is perfect!
ReplyDeleteWell done on your January tag, Autumn! I love the stamp you chose and the embossing folder holds sentimental charm for me, too! It may have been one of my first, too! It sure does look great here on the aluminum foil, or as we called it back home--tin foil! I happen to like the grungier look it gives! Well done! Big hugs, and thank you so much for all your lovely support and love on my blog! It means the WORLD to me!
ReplyDeleteFabulous take on Tim's tag! Autumn Really love the stamp and your industrial background is fab . Worthy of being Pinned by Tim ( just seen it there and headed over ) . x
ReplyDeleteAutumn...what a LOVELY name you have....but I just wanted to stop by and say what a cool tag you have! I am really liking that stamp you came across ...it is PERFECT! When I was working on my foil...I got some wrinkles in it and after I stuck it on ...I was thinking..I wish I crinkled it up more...so I really like the grungy look. The stencil you chose has sooo much detail..I love all the things to look at on your tag. "SWEET JOB"....and thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me some love!!!!
