Embossed Floral Watercolor Card

card 1

I definitely shouldn't have had that much coffee this afternoon...  But since I did!  I decided to roll with the inspiration and create another floral birthday card, using the same Stampendous flower embossed in white.

background

This is how my panel started, similar to the other two, but I couldn't make the elements work, so I ended up cutting it square and using the off strip to make the tag/sentiment.

card 2

I used a different damask set from the Tim Holtz set this time and a different Prima texture stamp too.  Notice how parts of the damask fade away, that is what I love!

card 3

I guess there isn't much contrast in this card, but IRL it is much prettier.  I tried to balance things with the Martha Stewart lace punch.

card 4

I really loved sections of the piece that I made the tag with.  Here you can see the dimension.  Thanks for bearing with me through all of these tonight!  It sure feels good to sit and play!  :)

card 5

Here's a shot of all the pretties lined up!  I love seeing all of this color!  <3

  29. The warm hues look splendid combined with the white, and such a pretty look. Also like your tag idea and tucking underneath the lacey white border too. It gave quite a bunch of contrast IMHO. The lush yellow of the ribbon added even more dimensional interest and this is just beautiful. I might try some afternoon coffee, if I could expect to create something like this!!! TS & Hugs
