Moth to a Flame Fiery Butterfly Card


I'm sharing this flaming and passionate card on the IndigoBlu blog today.  This month we are all working with the theme, Burning Bonfire.


I made this fiery background using Distress Inks.


I stamped the background stamp from the Blooming Great Stamp Set two times with black Versafine ink, then quickly while the ink was still wet poured on gold embossing powder and heat set for a variegated effect.


I computer generated the text.


I stamped the Flutterby Dinkie Stamp onto some inky paper and fussy cut.


I layered some basket filler over a black doily die then mounted my butterfly on top with hot glue.


The final touch was to splash watery Goldfinger Metallic Paint over the panel and attach a loopy bow.

    I am oohing and ahhing over this, Autumn! You totally nailed that fiery background - it is gorgeous. The gold embossing powder over black ink is a perfect touch - never thought of trying that, but will now. The Blooming Great Stamp is awesome and your butterfly is just perfect, along with your bow and other embellies :-) Love, love, love this! Hugs!!
