Our latest challenge at Stamps and Stencils, Christmas Wishes has come upon us! Our hostess Toni says, "Ahhhh! Christmas, like it or lump it, it rolls around every year and seems to arrive faster than ever. If you celebrate Christmas, it's likely that you'll be making cards, gift tags, decorations or even creating your own wrapping paper. My Christmas Wish is to see some of the creative things you make, in order to spread a little seasonal love to your families and friends. My only request is that you include some stamping or stenciling or even both!"
Wheee, the holidays are here indeed. I decided to create a mini album of my beloved family Christmas photos with the 7Dots Studio Yuletide collection. I recently picked up a couple of these chipboard albums on clearance. Each came with a thick acrylic cover. I created a snowy shaker that allows my first photo to peek through, well poor Logan gets buried in the snow - but you get the idea. ;0 PS. I picked up this faux snow at the Dollar Tree.
Each of these photos are my favorites, especially this one of my late Grandmother and all of our kids when they were itty bitties.
I incorporated lots of dies and paper flowers, sequins and a mix of silver mesh, cheese cloth or torn lace on the pages. I used stamps to add background texture to the plainer pages.
My DIY dotty stencil in the background here.
I added a simple bow to the cover to give it some umph.
And the back, don't you love this paper!
I'm also sharing with:
Autumn, what a treasure this album is! I love that snowy window, even if Logan gets buried in the snow! All of your layered pages look fabulous with the special stamping, stenciling and embellishments you've added. I'm sure that photo of your Grandmother is particularly special--what a lovely family she had surrounding her! (Are there twins???? I see two babies that look incredibly alike). This is sure to be the most looked at and talked about Christmas decoration in your home to be treasured for years to come! Sending love and big hugs!
ReplyDeleteMy Logan and my brother's baby Izzie are exactly 4 weeks apart! Not twins, just the best of sweetie pie cousins. <3 I wish my girls adored them as much now that they are eight! Ha ha ha, siblings!
