Tim Holtz Mixed Media Framed Valentine Canvas

It's time for a new challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!  This week our theme is Spread Your Wings.  I've created a mixed media framed Valentine canvas home decor project.

I was determined to make the most of my purchase of the Mixed Media Christmas Thinlet set I purchased after Christmas and decided to use the harlequin die for a Valentine assemblage.  I cut it twice in opposite corners of a watercolor panel and dipped it into a Fired Brick Distress Ink bath.

I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to do some designs for Tim Holtz for Creativation 2017 and was given the new Mini Detailed Butterfly die set to work with.  Here I used one of the solid butterflies.  I inked it with Fired Brick, then wiped on Versamark ink and embossed with Distress Embossing Powder in Walnut Stain for a rusty effect.  I added one of the new Idea-ology keys to the center.

I used Tim's label die set to cut paper from the Correspondence paper stash for my base and edged it with Vintage Photo.

I layered the XO die with an arrow and some bundled string.  The heart was inked and coated with clear crackle paste.  I adhered my stitched panel to a burlap panel and inserted it into a thrifted frame with.  The Scrabble letters are from my collection. I hope you are inspired to spread your wings today and join this week's challenge for a chance to win a $50 shopping spree!  Thanks so much for your visits and comments.
