I've skipped the stamping today and played with the new Ideaology products and my Tim Holtz die cuts. <3 I am in love with Tim's new Paper Dolls and was dying to pair a little girl with a tea cup, such a precious combination.
I was so thrilled to find Tim's tea cup dies locally and snagged them up a few months ago. My first project with the cup can be found HERE. I cut the cup from Tim's new paper stash, Memoranda. This was a gift from my crafty bud Mimi of She's Crafty. Thank you my friend! I am loving my goodies. You are the best!!! <3 I tucked some of the new floral ephemera from the Botanical Layers collection in the cup and perched the sweet girl down. She's holding the new stainable flowers called Bouquet Findings. These are so neat!
I finished with a butterfly and bow dyed with Distress Oxide ink. The doily was cut from a brown paper bag.
Little girls and tea parties reminded me of my last tea party with my Grandmother.
I used a combination of vintage a new items with fresh picked azaleas from my yard.
These photos are from a long time ago, my how the house has changed! But it is fun to look back and see these pretty things. <3
I just love this picture of the two of us from the party! What a treasure it is to me now.
I found these vintage silk roses and used lace and Grandma's old jewelry to embellish and make corsages for everyone.
This was Grandma that Easter. I just had to share! And here are the invitations for the party, which I've shared with your CL Hoppers previously. Thanks for visiting with me today and sharing this walk down memory lane. I hope you are inspired to create some tea themed goods and maybe have a party of your own! HUGS!!! <3

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Autumn and such lovely memories too. How sweet that you managed to capture this with photographs, something that I have not done and now regret. I am going to have to pop on over to Tim's blog to see what I have missed as you have some new Tim goodies that I haven't heard of or seen, the problem with living in the UK is that the goodies drip through very slowly to us at times x
