Tim Holtz Chocolate Easter Bunny Card

Hello and happy new week!  I have a super simple quickie card to share with you today.  I woke up early and decided to whip out an Easter card for all of these fun challenges I've seen of late.  My amazing bloggy friend Marty gave me some of these Tim Holtz bunny die cuts when we visited the other week.  I was afraid I wouldn't have time to work with them this year, but the inspiration struck bright and early.

I layered a Sizzix label die with the painted chipboard bunny.  The paint strokes show up a lot in the photo, but it isn't as obvious in real life.  So use your imagination.  :)  In retrospect, I wish I had embossed it in brown.

I've been playing with my new Small Tattered Florals dies and making a batch of flowers, so I had these on hand, which was a huge time saver.

Sadly enough, I don't have many Easter sentiment stamps, so I went back to this faithful Tutti Designs Celebrate die in the smaller size.  I inked it to match the flowers.  I sponged the edges of my paper and dyed my Sizzix leaves with Butterscotch Adirondack ink.  I just had to take these photos in the grass!  What fun!  I wish you a lovely day...

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
1 Peter 2:24 NIV

  9. Yum! I love me some chocolate bunnies! Don't it just figure the camera has to pick out all the imperfections and scream them to the world! You should see what the camera makes ME look like! You want to talk about paint strokes (wrinkles)! I digress...

Your chocolate bunny looks amazing along with those oh-so-gorgeous blue blossoms! I have GOT to get that die! What a fun card, and indeed we should Celebrate! We have so much to celebrate! Sending hugs!

  21. Oh my gosh I love your designs very much. I love the little flowers, I just picked up my new set. I can't believe how SMALL some of the dies are, not sure I will use the teeny tiny ones, but you never know, they could be quite cool in bunches. Life has been very busy and I haven't been blogging or creating lately. I've been scrolling through your blog to see what I've missed...wow ! Shirleyxx
