It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and we've switched to a new Anything Goes format for all challenges. I was in the mood to play with Distress Oxides and make some backgrounds. I used a combination of Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and a little Vintage Photo to create my main panel. I used a solid DOX panel (no stamping or embossing) to give the feeling of water.
I was enamored by the flowers in THIS post from my crafty hero Emma. I just had to get my hands on the Tropical die set by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. I used inks to color my flower. Abandoned Coral DI and a top layer of Spiced Marmalade DOX. I colored the leaves with Frayed Burlap DI and Peeled Paint DOX.
I am in love with this leafy die and already have another project in the works with it.
I used Tim's new foam cling stamps to stamp the word "sea" onto a DOX inky panel. This panel was stamped with a gorgeous Darkroom Door stamp. I love how the pattern contrasted with the solid background. I used my Tim Holtz Stitched Rectangles set border dies to add detail to the top and bottom of this panel. The brown berry die is from the Winter Greens set. The "you is from the Celebrations set, all by Sizzix. Here's one more shot of that flower - so fun! I hope you are inspired to play along with our challenge for a chance to win one of TWO gift cards. What has inspired you these days?
