Enameled Frame and Faux Mother of Pearl Christmas at PaperArtsy

I'm thrilled to have a second appearance on the PaperArtsy blog today!  I'm sharing my processes for creating faux mother of pearl and stamping over embossing powder, both used to create this gift frame and matching Christmas card.  I hope these concepts will spark your interest and you will pay a visit to the PaperArtsy blog for more details.

  2. Lovely job! You got so creative with the use of all the products. Loving all the purple! What brand is the chunky purple embossing powder? I have not seen that product - must have!!!

    1. Hi Terri and thanks so much for the sweet comment. The embossing powder is about a decade old and is no longer available by the company. It is called Cloisonné. Maybe you can find it on Ebay. I know Emerald Creek sells similar powders with larger chunks and mixed colors. They are available at The Funkie Junkie Boutique:

  20. autumn, I gasped when I saw this! What a knockout frame in that rich purplish color with those delicate leaves overstamped! And the Christmas card is drop dead gorgeous in that bold purple. Looks like I've got a lot of hopping to do, to see all these details! You are the only other person I've known to have heard of Cloisonne crystals, let along use them! I have a stash I forget are buried in the back of the drawer, but I love them! They started my embossing powder addiction! Ha! Ha! Hugs!
