Hiya sweeties! I'm thrilled to be guest designer for the latest challenge at the Rubbernecker Stamps blog. The challenge this fortnight is Autumn Glitz - how fun!
I decided to break out my seldomly used glittery embossing powders (gold and copper) and used the Leaves and Twigs stamp set to create a repeating pattern.
I used Distress Inks to create a watercolor wash around my embossed leaves. This is such a fun process! The splatters are from lightly diluted DI.
I stamped the beautiful Second Spring stamp onto scrap inky card and cut with an oval die. I added a mat of golden glitter paper to accentuate the glitz effect. A simple tucked in loopy bow finished the card. Just for fun, here's the card in front of my beautiful autumn trees in the front yard. :) The leaves were literally raining down as I was shooting this pic!

ReplyDeleteMy eyes went straight to the stamped quote, which is just a standout on the colourful background. Love those glittery embossing powders and the randomly stamped leaves. The orangy muddled watercolour provides the perfect backdrop for them. TFS

Lovely inky background and the embossed leaves look fabulous. Those are lovely looking stamps. I'm inspired to try to paint some of those delicate stems by myself, but I expect I'll yield and go wishlist shopping in the end!
