Hi friends! I'm overjoyed to be sharing a fun new tutorial on the PaperArtsy blog today for this mixed media faux planked wood background. I've used my PaperArtsy Fresco Acrylics for both the planks and some of the paper backgrounds for my stamping collage. These stamps were released this year as part of the PaperArtsy Eclectica³ {Scrapcosy} Collection (ESC11 & ESC12). I am CRAZY over them and long to use them more. I do hope you'll hop on over for a closer look. Make sure to check out the current topic, Vintage Neutrals, for more inspiration and a fabulous challenge. Thanks so much!

What a great technique! I adore you, from your techniques I always learn something new and I am immensely grateful! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI adore anything sea themed! The wooden planks are genius with the little brads - they do look a lot like screws and I love that weathered, distressed look! A brilliant project!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and as an alternative would look very designer hung on a bathroom wall. It's so pretty and the wood looks very realistic, great nautical colour scheme x
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is spectacular!! Wow!! I absolutely love those wood planks!! The textures and layers are amazing!! Headed over for all the details!! Have a great day, my friend!! Big hugs :)

Your nautical themed journal cover is gorgeous! I love the colors, your faux ship lap and that awesome texture. The little white splatters on that stunning blue really catches my eye. What do you use for fiber? I need some of that. Never disappointing, Autumn.

Autumn, I love this theme and the octopus is my favorite with the ship behind in the distance!! Your planks are so cool-looking, you did a great job with them. The stamp sets are awesome and love the porthole for the octopus with Seth Apter's baked texture - don't have that one yet. I am looking forward to seeing more pages of this album!! Hugs!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove those blues paired with the brown and burlap! What a fabulous plank background and the most amazing sea themed collage! Off to see the details! Sending big hugs your way!
