Vintage Collage Journaling with Darkroom Door Stamps

Hi friends!  I'm very happy to have come across this nearly completed altered journal in my recent art room shuffle.  How could I have forgotten it!  I decided immediately to get a new spread added to it.  I've picked up the most amazing quote stamp by Darkroom Door and in the theme of the journal, picked out a "found relative" to coordinate.  She reminds me much of myself as a girl...

I layered some beautiful vintage ephemera from my friend Madelyn with an envelope mailed to me by my friend Wanda, adding layers of stamping on the base with the Abstract 06 stamp and the Number Medley set.  

I made the strip on the side with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide and the Darkroom Door Spanish Tile stamp (my fav <3).  I cut up leftovers to make faux washi tape for the opposite side of the spread.  I mounted the Quote stamp over the AMAZING new Vintage Label Frame stamp stamped in cherry red.  I'm ever so pleased with this journal thus far and have two more spreads to go, along with the cover art.  Wish me luck!  Since it's been such a while, I thought I would share the previous pages with you...

AALL & Create Tracy Evans Floral Mixed Media Cards

Hello my friends!  I've got a few projects to share with you today that I've created during recent "craft-a-long" sessions with Tracy Evans.  Often I go my own way based on my color preferences or my personal stamp options.  For this tag, I really wanted to use the new stamps Tracy used but they haven't arrived in the States yet, so I mixed up a couple of other sets instead.  HERE is the YouTube replay link if you'd like to play along.  I find these are so relaxing to sit and just "go with it" without having to think too much.  These days that is exactly what I need!  How about you?

I couldn't figure out how to do a trio of flowers like Tracy had done and my tag sat for a day or two until I decided upon buttons for flowers.  Fun!  I used one of the border stamps to make the vines and really liked how that worked out.  My pot was just cut from a scrap of card and inked with Oxides and then clear UTEE'ed.  I cracked the pot so it would look like crazed pottery.

This card was based on THIS amazing project by Tracy, where she used Blueprint Sketch.  I ended up using Evergreen Bough, but hope to make another version in Blueprint.  I used Sea colored Mixed Media powder by Ranger for this pot.  Rather than the gessoed circles as Tracy had done, I applied my gesso through an AALL & Create stencil.  I really liked the effect mixed with the white embossing.

And this card was made ages ago, inspired by THIS video of Tracy's.  I sort of love it and sort of think it needs something...  So I haven't shared it, but have decided to let it be.  It was one of my first cards made with Tracy and I think it's fun to see my progression.  I hope you are staying happy, busy and well.  Hugs, Autumn

PaperArtsy Gelli Print Accordion Mini Album

Hello friends!  Today we begin a new challenge at Mini Album Makers!  We are thrilled to have The Funkie Junkie Boutique as our sponsor this month and do hope that you'll play along in our challenge.  During quarantine I decided to make this fun and quirky little book from my mini gelli prints, focusing on one page at a time and enjoying each day.  I pulled together loads of my PaperArtsy stamps from flowers to minis to Zinis and tried to make a little village of joy.  Here are some panos so you get the full effect.

I used the Eileen Hull Mini Album die, which is 5" square and attached an accordion panel to the right inside.  I cut my gelli prints just smaller than each page and used loads of background stamping, watercolor and fussy cutting throughout.
