PaperArtsy Collage Accordion Mini Book Tutorial

Hello dears!  I'm so happy to share my first project of the year for the PaperArtsy blog!  I took a little hiatus and am back, rested and inspired.  The current blog topic is Mash Up, which is mixing various designer's stamps together.  This is something I LOVE to do!  So I have created a little accordion album to showcase each and every stamp in my chosen collections: Ink & The Dog Eclectic Stamp Set 5 (E5), At Home Stamp Set 5 (AH5), Wings Stamp Set 2 (WGS2), Eclectica Mini Stamp 39 (EM39), Eclectica Courtney Franich 5 (ECF05), France Papillon 7 (FP007), and Seth Apter 18 (ESA18).  I stamped them onto tea stained paper.  I've explained many more details on the PaperArtsy blog, so do hop on over for more...

For my accordion base, I gel printed with a palette of PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics in: Caramel, Hint of Mint, Gold Rush, Toffee, Winter Green, Cloud 9 and French Roast.  Oh how I love this combination!

I used the Eileen Hull Sizzix Notebook die and Sizzix Media Board in white, cutting the covers down to 3.75 x 2.75".  I then cut two long pieces of PaperArtsy Smoothy card to 3.5 x 11.75".  I then did some random painting with my brayer onto my gel plate.  After the pieces were dried, I scored the long strips at 2.5", cutting off the excess and adhering the two panels together to form one long accordion, which I adhered inside of my book after stamping/collage.

I had such a lovely time stamping and used my extra pieces to make a couple of cards for the local store where I sell my cards, Full Circle Vintage Modern Market in Pickens, SC.  Note the sentiment on the bottom card, "happy birthday old bird."  I couldn't resist!  LOL!  I hope these projects have inspired you.  Make sure to check out the full range of stamps and paints at Topflight Stamps!  Hugs, Autumn

Free Vintage Alphabet Printables and December Daily Part 3

 

(I completely forgot to publish this post somehow, but here goes...)  

Hello friends!  I'm back with Part Three of my December Daily.  In case you missed it, HERE is a link to Part One and HERE is a link to Part Two.  I have to say, this was a very daunting project for me.  Just like you, December is very busy for me!  I've started DD in the past and never kept up with it, but this year I really wanted to savor the time with my family and seek out opportunities to make memories.  And I actually journaled until January 1! To celebrate, I have another free printable download for you, this set of Vintage Alphabets you can download as a photo HERE or as a PDF file HERE. 

 

 

I used tons of printables from my saved Pinterest board HERE.  Some of them I printed onto sheets of printable adhesive washi paper.  It's my new favorite thing!  The trick (for Americans) is to set your paper size to A4 on both your document to print AND the printer.

And of course, I used lots more printed vellum.  I printed loads of the ephemera from the Antiquity Add On Kit by Junk With Steph on Etsy.

For this page I was in a hurry and used stickers from the Antiquarian Sticker Book.  This book is so very cool for collage lovers!

I love adding window pages.  I strengthen them with a washi tape surround.

 

I love the hidden pockets and flaps to reveal more personal things, like holiday photos.  Here of my girl on her 21st birthday brunch.  <3

My New Year's Eve spread was probably my favorite, using a free printable Audubon plate from the (John James) Audubon Society's website.

And this one with journaling about my craft days with my mom over break. 

My finished cover!  I didn't let myself use my new wax seal kit until my December Daily was complete and my reward was to add a seal to the cover. 

Even though I print my images onto thin copy paper, there is some girth to my traveler's journal insert, so I found this gorgeous vintage velvet ribbon to add as a closure to my cover.  I hope you've enjoyed these pages and are inspired to do some journaling of your own.  Hugs, Autumn

Stamperia Arctic Antarctic Cards

 

 

Hi friends and happy New Year to you!  I enjoyed a wonderful long weekend with crafting with my mom, who so graciously bought me a pack of 12x12" Stamperia Arctic Antarctic scrapbook paper for our cardmaking day together. We spent New Year's Day and the day after working together on these and I wanted to share the results with you. 

We specifically chose the winter elements for our cards, saving the whales for another summer session, in which we hope to make a small book. 

It's always hard to show the dimension on collage style cards through a photo, but here is a close up so you can see those wonderful tatty layers, covered in Stampendous Shaved Ice.  The trick is to dip a paint brush into matte Mod Podge, then dip into the "snow" and brush onto your pieces.

I hope these cards having inspired you to stay creative this winter.  This fall my mom and I made some cards with the Stamperia 8x8" Forest Paper Pack and I never got around to sharing them, so I will try to add a new post with those soon.  Wishing a blessed 2021 my friends!  Hugs, Autumn
