Update: the winner from my blog is #2 FitWarrior. Thanks to everyone who participated!
Hi friends! It's
Topflight Stamps 4th birthday and to celebrate, I’ve teamed up with
some great designers to showcase birthday cards using the unique
products available at Topflight Stamps. Please hop along with us and see
all the beautiful talent from this group of amazing designers! The full list can be found below. For my addition to the hop, I've created a vibrant, uplifting card with several stamp sets designed by Tracy Scott for PaperArtsy. I love Tracy's designs and have used Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paints to make them pop!
I created some blue backgrounds using my Gel Press with Waterfall and Jade Frescos and THIS stencil by Tracy (PS210). I cut them down to make two 5x7" cards. I then stamped the feather from stamp set ETS43 using my stamp platform. I painted the image with Frescos, then restamped to add the detail back to the image.
To add dimension, I stamped the flower from stamp set TS047 and the bee from TS027 onto gel printed paper I made with the coordinating Fresco paint colors. I mounted them over the feather and embossed a sentiment in white to finish the designs.
I am addicted to using my Gel Press printing plate and Frescos! I hope this card has inspired you to create a stash of birthday greetings today.

ReplyDeleteSo very bright and beautiful! This is the kind of card that makes someone happy the moment they are it.
ReplyDeleteUntil I saw your posting today, I can say I "have been to Hawaii!" - your use of those vivid tropical colors make me think what it must be like there - Bora Bora, Tahiti (?)- or another warm place! And those wings on the bee really do look possible because your gel-printed paper resembles the way insect's wings have that "rainbow effect" when the light hits them in the right way! I must remember that when I'm stamping insects! Quick card but obviously you put a lot of thinking into it before you started "arting" !!!
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colors!
