Today I'm sharing two versions of the Funkie Junkie's 12 Tags of Christmas #8. I was inspired by the "Believe" stamp Linda used, so I stamped a "Believe" definition randomly onto both backgrounds. I also loved the swirls in Linda's design and recreated those in each of my tags. I am not happy with either of these tags, but decided to post them and move on! I'm already behind a week from agonizing over these babies! Perhaps I need a nice shopping spree at The Funkie Junkie Boutique to cure my tag making paralysis! Ha! (Gift cards please?! - Anyone?!) Remember, three lucky winners will receive gift vouchers to the shop!

ReplyDeleteAutumn these are gorgeous, there is nothing not to love about these so there lol xx
ReplyDeleteOh, Autumn, I think you are the "tag queen" this year myself - hehe! And I totally agree with Tonya that you are far too hard on yourself. I just love both of these and especially love the really country, vintage feel to each of them. I love the definition background you've stamped and love the trees with the bow on the first one and really love the plaid Christmas tree on the second one. Did you do the faux stitching around it, because it's a really nice touch? So I know whoever gets these will LOVE them, sweet friend. And I hear you about moving on (I've felt that way about a couple of my cards recently - hah!). Hugs, sweet friend (now back to working on my Christmas cards).
ReplyDeleteAwesome couple of tags! Love the use of color too
ReplyDeleteGreat job in the tag! Thanks for joining the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge this month.
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous tags Autumn - you are too hard on yourself!! Love your colours and the backgrounds are great with the definitions on them.
ReplyDeleteBlessings

I love tags and yours are stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteYour tags are beautiful. I especially like the one with the plaid tree. I love the faux stitching. Thank you for joining us for the Classy Cards N Such challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteThese are both good tags, but I totally know how you feel. You gotta move on. For me, some challenges cause me to put out a lot of effort, and yield results that I'm like, "That doesn't even represent me!" Both of these have awesome features... like the tiny greeting at the second and the background of the first.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tags Autumn, I love the warm nostalgic look you've gave them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at the challenge at Addicted To Stamps Challengeblog.
Greetings Miranda (dt-ATSC)

Not sure why you are unhappy with EITHER of these, Autumn. I think each one is just beautiful with the colors, and the treatments you've used on each one. You've got the believe background used so well and I love the swirls, ivy silhouettes, and the tree line border is splendid. Love the homespun Christmas shape in #2 with the ivy drooping under the 'presents' bow...so to my eyes, both are just very, very pretty. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tags!! 2 lovely designs!! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for joining us this week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!

ReplyDeleteI am loving both of these tags! The classic elegance of the first tag, and the cozy country feel of the second capture what I love about this season perfectly!

Two beautiful tags. Lovely traditiona Christmas colours and very elegant! Thanks for joining us at ATSC. Marlies
ReplyDeleteThe are so very beautiful and I love the rustic appearance, exuding a gorgeous sense of nostalgia and log fires burning and the smell of pine in the air from the freshly collected tree.
ReplyDeleteAutumn, your tags are making me get quite carried away LOL.

Autumn, these are beautiful - I really love the plaid tree! And the background on the first one is fabulous! Thanks so much for your visits....I'm finally getting around to visiting folks myself, lol! Happy holidays - xx Lynn
ReplyDeleteHi autumn, My apologies for not getting around as much as I'd like, but you are in my thoughts! Love these two rustic tags with the traditional Christmas colors, but the first is my favorite, with that gorgeous background and sparkly bauble embellishment! Save this one for me! Thank you for all your support and love on my blog...you make my day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThey are both fabulous, Autumn. We are always our own worst critic. I know how you feel though. I'm always last minute and have to post my work whether I like it or not. Oftentimes, I have to grit my teeth and force myself to post something that I am less than thrilled with. But these really are lovely. I especially like the first one although the plaid tree with the faux stitching is quite wonderful. Love the grove of trees you created for the first one and that vintage looking holly stamp is awesome - I'm coveting that one! Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Linda
I love both of these - the sepia really gives the red and green a vintage look, and I love the delicate holly flourishes above the tree line especially.

Very fun tags. You definitely captured the essence of the tags. They really are pretty. Don't judge yourself so harshly :-)
