A bittersweet day today - ha ha get it bitter & sweet - with the end of the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop... Ah summer, ah coffee. How I love you both. Anyway! For my final card I broke out some treasured (aka hoarded) Basic Grey patterned paper. Remember when Basic Grey was the coolest kid on the block? Oh I miss those days. Paper just isn't the same... As you see, I've used the Stamplorations free digi stamp again. I dipped it into watery Distress Inks. The flower is a Prima oldie. The faux stitching stamp so many of you have commented on is by BoBunny.
I really love coloring this way. I used watery Distress Inks to outline the stickers too. White Distress Stain details the edge of the burlap paper. Such a simple card, but I just love the paper and color combo.
Today you get two for the price of one. I made this CAS card to mail my friend who has been at the beach. Gilmore Girls reference - anybody? Can you tell I love my new Verve die? ;0
I wanted to share a couple more class projects from the amazing ladies in my art group. Remember, the tutorial can be found HERE. This breathtaking pink beauty was created by Linda Standart. The fantastic 3D nest and gorgeous bark and sentiment blew me away! Linda glued beautiful patterned paper inside the canvas and I just love the result!
This natural wonder was created by Pam Holcombe. I wish you could see this one in person, it is so dynamic and detailed. The texture and interest in the background alone is phenomenal! I love the moss tucked into the layers and the beautiful charms hanging from the bottom of the canvas. Gorgeous Pam!

Loads of beautiful cards to enjoy, and you mentioned some names I used to know from SAMBE. Good to see they are still creating such beauty. Enjoyed seeing each of their works. Love the way you've used the coffee cup again...and the burlap and dimensional flower (love the way you've added the twine bow to the flower). The DP is very light & summery, and the details on the sentiment stickers added more depth to this embellie. Wonderful card. TFS
ReplyDeleteLove your cards--especially the first one with the burlap panel!
ReplyDeleteHey you, busy lady! Awesome varied projects. I still love BasicGrey. I'm sure you and I have lots of the same stash. :) That Verve die is awesome!

ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful and thrilling card design with the coffee features. Awesome sauce use of the DI and techniques. You are on a roll! What fantabulous makes from your class! I would have had fun with it as well. Your students learned from the best! Hugz to you muffin! ~Niki
ReplyDeleteYour cards are fabulous, Autumn!! I don't know how you do it. Each new creation is lovelier than the last. You are an endless font of inspiration!! What part of upstate SC do you live in? I'm in the low country region, about 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. I think we should get together and craft sometime!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Nancy
I love all of your cards, but the first one with the coffee and burlap is my favorite. Thank you, for sharing.
ReplyDelete>>Insert vision of me jealously drooling here<< Love love love that first card with all its warm, summery hues, textural elements, and messy goodness. And as I just started rewatching the Gilmore Girls on Netflix, I especially enjoyed your second creation, too! I'm sorry I've been such a bad bloggy friend of late, the month of June snuck away from me somehow, but I'm working to fix it!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful cards!
