Happy happy Father's Day to you and yours! Today I thought I'd share a masculine themed coffee card with you. When I found THIS awesome vintage coffee label at The Graphics Fairy, I just knew it needed to be the background of my next steampunk card. I printed it to size and inked it up with Distress puddles, trying a new technique. I distressed all of the edges with my scissors, then dipped them into my puddled ink. I really like the effect, especially on this background. The grey around the gentlemen, not so much, but I went with it for contrast.
I suck this tag behind my layers so that when the coffee giftcard is removed, the word shows perfectly. I was so excited that my local coffee house's gift card matched my project idea! ;0
The gears were gifted via the Queen's royal airmail (how fun!) by the lovely and talented Redanne. I inked them, embossed them with Distress EP, then smudged Distress Crayons onto them, wetting and setting. I just love the texture! I added some bronze brads and mounted this one onto a piece of shimmery bronze cardstock, which was so fun to use too!
Wow..Its Super Awesome !! Vintage ,Grungy ,Masculine ..all things that are difficult for me ;)
