Unicorns and Dream Catchers Mixed Media Childrens Card

card 1

Today I am sharing a card on the IndigoBlu blog using our latest stamp release, Jewel the unicorn.  My last project with Jewel was a dark mixed media tag, so this time I went polar opposite and created a light and airy children's card.

card 2

I used IndigoBlu's Slap It On Super Thick Embossing Paste through the Stars Stencil to create a resist for my watercolor splatters.

Next I layered an additional watercolor panel with some die cuts.  To create the dream catcher, I first added foam tape to my circle die cut, then wrapped silver metallic floss around it.  The adhesive holds it in place.  I layered it over a bundle of purple thread.  Lastly, I tucked in some stamped castle parts from the beautiful Winterland Wood Stamp Set to give a fairy tale effect my the card.
