Today I'm sharing another card created for Tim Holtz Sizzix booth at Creativation 2017. This beautiful floral bird die has so many possibilities, from rust to romance as I've shown you in earlier posts. I was eager to work with the new metallic kraft core paper. I cut and sanded, then layered over a bronze die cut layer for depth.
I wanted some beautiful trim and decided to create a paper chain with the new Small Tattered Florals die.
I accordion folded a coffee filter so that the sides wouldn't cut through, leaving a continuous strip.
If you want to do this for a larger project, you could always piece several lengths together.
I added a drop of tacky glue to the center of each flower, then smooshed on a loose flower, then glued on another so that each flower is three high.
I added one drop of watery Vintage Photo Distress Ink into the center of each flower, then glued on a pearl.
I did the same thing with the larger flower, only using the Bigz Tattered Florals die. They both work together perfectly!
Lastly, a closeup of the beautiful metallic core, sanded down to perfection. This stuff is amazing! And a photo of the card from the booth, taken by Jenny Marples. Thanks so much for your support and encouragement. I am overwhelmed and so blessed to have been given this opportunity to work for Tim. Thank you Tim, Mario & Paula!
Oh, dear! I'm sooooo far behind on bloggy visiting, but this looks as good a place to start as any other! Beautiful card, Autumn!
