I'm skipping around a little and sharing Tag 10 for the Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas challenge. I have been doing tons of deer projects, so I decided to go a snowy route with this one, but was inspired by Linda's Tag 10 stenciled background, use of snowflakes, sentiment banner and most of all her use of GLITTER PASTE! Woo hoo! I'm so happy that she announced that she's now carrying it in the Funkie Junkie Boutique (check out the new products tab).
My friend Madelyn had this exquisite set of Tim Holtz snowflake stamps, so I stamped and embossed lots of tags and cards (more to come). To create the dimension Linda had on her tag, I layered with a Paper Snowflake die cut and a Tim Holtz button (shank cut off).
My background was inked with Milled Lavendar and Dusty Concord DI to create the embossing resist. I used the Holiday Knit stencil and BoBunny glitter paste for the bottom portion. The stamped sentiment is from an old TH set. I layered some snowflake washi tape at the bottom and mounted my tag onto silver metallic kraft core.
I used a simple seam binding bow and silver embroidery floss with a couple of bells as my topper. I made this tag especially to inspire my friend Madelyn, who loves the color purple and always shares her stamps with me! Thanks doll! <3 I hope you'll play along with Linda's 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge, which is sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique. Perhaps you will win either the $50 or $25 gift certificate prize! To see Linda's tag, click HERE.
