Art by Marlene So-Fish-Ticated Mixed Media Art Journal Pages

Hello friends!  I'm back with you today to share a couple of funky journal pages I made with my Art by Marlene stamps.  This first page was made with the fun blowfish stamp from the Sea Creatures stamp set from the So-Fish-Ticated line.  I just love this set!  I used the stamp to make a pair for this page and colored them differently to make a male and female.

I used my Prism brush markers to coordinate with a gel printed background I made using the Vibrant Flowers stencil and PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paints.  On the side I embossed in white the Bold and Bright Floral Simplicity stamp set stems.  Then I added black die cuts from the Floral Style Marlene's World die cut set.

I finally got to play with my Essentials Rub-On Transfers for the sentiment.  I added some white highlights with my Posca paint pen.

My next page features another gel print using the Vibrant Flowers stencil and the plus sign stencil.  I added some doodling and lots of messy stitches.

The fantastic lobster image is from the Underwater World set, also from So-Fish-Ticated.  I love him so much!

And finally, the shell is also from the lobster set.  I had so much fun coloring these images.  I hope you've enjoyed these funky pages.  I'll be sharing some others on the Topflight Stamps blog and you can see my Sally Seahorse page HERE.  She is my absolute favorite ABM stamp!  Thanks for your visit today, Autumn

Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Christmas Silhouette, Pinecones and Fall Cards

Hello dear friends!  I'm back again with my final trio for my September guest design spot with Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.  It's been so wonderful to create with these fabulous faith based stamps and I still have so many ideas for future cards...  Up first today, I have a grungy, inky Christmas card with two of my very favorite sets, Texture Tiles (plaid) and We Three Kings.  I had so much fun using my Rustic Wilderness and Antique Linen Distress Inks to create this inky background, and to stamp the Texture Tile plaid.

This could be the most perfect Christmas sentiment stamp!  It's from the Best Gift Ever set.  I used Prism gold glimmer spray to fleck golden ink onto the sky to create a starry look.  And I finished with a loopy bow using some really special ribbon that coordinated perfectly with the green and gold combo.

For my next card I embossed the Pinecone Background stamp onto burgundy cardstock, then sponged the edges with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink to create a halo effect.  I dipped a smaller panel in the same ink and stamped with a sentiment from the Best Gift Ever stamp set and finished with an organdy bow.

And I couldn't resist one more fall card, so I used the Texture Tiles set set again to create a buffalo check pattern, then stamped a torn ink piece with the gorgeous Psalm from the Singing Praises set and finally stamped the Long Stem Silhouettes repeatedly, using the coordinating dies to cut a few and pop them up.  I finished by stamping an autumn sentiment from the Autumn Splendor set onto a die cut oval.  The Distress Inks I used were Wild Honey and Gathered Twigs.  I used the leftovers to add some splatters.

I seriously cannot get enough of this plaid/buffalo check set!  I really hope you've enjoyed these cards today and are inspired to get out your Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps and get inky!  xx, Autumn

PaperArtsy Sea Creature Accordion Mini Album

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing a fun little accordion mini book I made with my gel prints a while back.  It sat unadorned for ages and finally I decided to break out my PaperArtsy stamps and fill it up. I shared a video on making the gel prints with household objects HERE way back.  I made another little book with this design HERE.  The book design was inspired by Tracy Evan's video she shared HERE during Covid lockdown.  It was so much fun that I've now made three of these books, including my rendition of Tracy's HERE!

My album was inspired by a fun clothing tag that came off of my son's swimming trunks and the colors were perfect.

I filled the pages with images stamped onto my gel prints, inspired by the sea.  I used a combination of stamps by Sara Naumann and Scraposy by PaperArtsy (ESN48, ESN54, ESN55, ESN59, ESN61, ESC10 and ESC12).  I just let myself have a good long play with the stamps as a way to destress.  It worked a treat!

On the front cover I used some die cuts by Art by Marlene.  I added a grommet to string the ribbon through as a closure.  And here are shots of the book extended, front and back.

I really hope it inspires you today and you will imagine your toes in the sand with the waves pouring in.  My husband and youngest son and I just went to the seashore and had a wonderful week.  Here is a photo of the full moon at a family dinner which was so dynamic!  xx, Autumn

Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Flowers and Fall Cards

Hi friends!  I'm delighted to be back as guest designer for Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps again this month!  I've so enjoyed making these cards and am happy to finally share them with you!  For my first card, I've worked with the absolutely gorgeous Blooming Anemones stamp set.  I used brush markers and a water brush to color these lovely blossoms in a soft, earthy palette.

I ink blended the edges of the card with Antique Linen Distress Ink and added some sequins and clear domes.  I finished with a sentiment from the Love Wordfetti set, mounted over a bit of bundled gold thread.

Next, I used the super fun Delightfully Delicate background stamp over an inky panel made with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and Wilted Violet DOX.  I added Peeled Paint to color the flower from Blessings in Disguise.  I layered it over a fern stamped from the same set.  Then I stamped one of the gorgeous Hymn Word Art stamps in that gorgeous WV Oxide.

Finally, I wanted to keep working with those gorgeous Hymn Word Art stamps, so I made another fall inky background using the Autumn Splendor stamp set.  I used a variety of Oxides for this and finished by fussy cutting some of the leaves to mount over the gorgeous Hymn, stamped in Ground Espresso.

I love the fact that these hymn stamps make great focal images!  What beautiful word art!  I hope you're inspired today by these simple cards and you'll check out the Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps website for more.  xx, Autumn
