I have been working on the July 2015 Verve Card Sketch Challenges all week and created this pink "Grace" card for the Week 3 challenge. I was inspired to go with this color scheme by the lovely aqua seam binding giftie that Verve included with my order. Thanks Verve! ;0 Then earlier today I decided to make some DIY button brads and one of them happened to be this pink blingy beauty. Put the two together and add in some Authentique papers and this amazing Grace stamp and viola!
To make the brads, I picked out some buttons without holes (shank back - I guess is the proper terminology) and cut the backs off using a pair of jewelry wire cutters. Next I hotglued some square (unwanted) brads to the backs. What a fun and simple project and great way to put that button jar to good use...
I layered my papers according to the card sketch and added some black stitching for dimension.
I love those threads hanging down...
And am currently obsessed with arrows, so modified the sketch a bit.
Here she is! I really like the Week 3 sketch! Hope you're inspired to create along. I'm linking up HERE.
