It's time for a new challenge at Stamps & Stencils. Our hostess Sue has chosen the theme Words with Meaning. She says, "I may be an old romantic but I love to see quotes and meaningful sayings on pieces of art. These can be quotes that are particularly meaningful to you or family sayings! So, for this challenge I want to see your words taking centre stage, big and bold! Remember, as always, you need to include some stamping or stencilling or both!" It has been a very busy season for me, so I chose to do a simple stamped card with a handmade flower I made for THIS post. This card has a completely different feel, doesn't it? I chose a most meaningful verse to stamp by Stamp A Mania.
"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
I used a plastic flower for the center and gave it a brush of gesso to help it blend. It rests over a bundle of string. I stamped faux stitching and curled the edges of my card for dimension. I hope you are inspired by this simple make! We'd love to have you play along.

Your card is beautiful and just what I needed today. That scripture ispoke to me - I lost a friend to cancer at age 50 and her funeral was yesterday.
