I celebrated my Mother's birthday yesterday and made this card for her with my new Stampin' Up! set, Watercolor Wings. Happy birthday mom!
I layered Worn Lipstick, then Victorial Velvet, then Frayed Burlap Distress Inks to create this butterfly.
I added a SU! doily, some layers of Authentique pinks and MME gold dots papers with some circles, pearl dots, and amazing gold washi tape (didn't show up well in photo - but super cool and from AC Moore).
I've been trying some of the new styles I see out, so yes this is different for me. But it was fun and part of the joy of stamping is in trying new things. Thanks mom for letting me experiment with your birthday card! ;0 I'm linking up to House of Cards for the Metallic theme HERE.

Verve August Week One Card Sketch Mint and Gold
For the August Week One Verve Challenge, I was inspired by my daughter's sweet 16 color scheme, mint and gold.

I tried to follow the sketch, but had to elongate my layering to cover up an image of the Eiffel on this MME paper! I also kept the strip across rectangular because it just looked better. It is washi tape from AC Moore.
I distressed my edges and finished off the tag with a flower and some vintage seam binding lace.
The colors in the photo just don't do this card justice. I'm linking up to the Viva la Verve Challenge HERE. Hope you like it, Julee! I just love your stamps!
