Coffee Loving Christmas Cards

 

Hi everyone!  I'm having a fun time playing with the Coffee Talk stamps and dies by Creative Worship Stamps this month! I've created a fun trio of cards to share.  For this first project, I paired the set with the gorgeous Diagonal Plaid Background, using cheery greens and reds for a festive feel.  I enjoyed using the coordinating dies to add dimension.

My next card features a repeat stamped background using one of the most darling cups in the set.  I then created a frame using the new Polaroid dies and stamped them with the Vintage Snippets set.  Inside the frame I added a focal cup, attached with a Wobbles spring so it jitters around when you touch it.  :)  I finished by adding a sentiment from Blessings in Disguise, and creating a tiny tea tag with tea stained string.  Fun!

For my final card, I did another repeat stamping background using the Choose Faith stamps (Joy).  I then layered with the Polaroid die and more adorable die cut Coffee Talk stamps and a loopy twine bow.  

I'm looking forward to giving these cards with giftcards to our favorite local coffee shop this Christmas!  I hope they inspire you, hmmm, maybe for some last minute gift ideas?  :)

Winter and Christmas Release at Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps

 

Hi friends!  I'm delighted to be joining Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps as a guest designer for October.  It was great fun to make a batch of Christmas cards with the new releases.  Up first, I used the incredible Large Snowflake 6x6" background stamp.  

I used Distress Ink in Festive Berries with my stamp platform to stamp the snowflakes, then over stamped in Versamark ink and embossed in holographic glittery embossing powder.  I really love the shimmer!  

I finished the card by adding a strip of glitter cardstock in aqua and a row of cocoa or lattes - you choose - using the adorable Coffee Talk stamps & coordinating die set.  I tucked in a folded doily and added the stamped "Joy" using the same technique as the snowflakes with Distress Ink in Evergreen Bough.  The stamp is from the Choose Faith set.  I finished with a loopy crinkled bow.

Up next, I played with the perfectly cozy new Knit background stamp.  I inked it with Distress Ink in Evergreen Bough and spritzed it with water for a different effect.  

I layered two of the mugs from the Coffee Talk stamps & coordinating die set over a Vintage Photo inky circle and paired with a sentiment from the Blessings in Disguise stamp set.  I used my tiny attacher (stapler) and a little bakers twine to finish it off.

My last card for today is an ink blend design.  I used torn paper as a mask and blended snowy hills using Distress Oxides in Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans.  I gave the panel a splash of water, watery gesso and each watered ink color for a faux snow look.  I stamped the deer from the Scene Silhouettes stamp set.

I finished by repeat stamping the beautiful new Christmas Pine stamps with Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot, then cutting with the coordinating dies.  I topped the card with a loopy bakers twine bow.

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop w/Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps

 

Hello everyone!  I hope your fall is off to a beautiful start.  I'm honored today to be joining my friends at Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps celebrating the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.  

I had such a blast getting inky for this card.  I dipped a Bristol panel into watery Uncharted Mariner Distress Ink and let it dry, then did the same on the reverse side with Vintage Photo.  I used a paint brush to let some ink drip down and carefully let this air dry.  I added some sponging along the edges to darken and "frame" the panel.

I pulled out the Coffee Talk stamps and dies and repeat stamped the to go cups and watercolored them in the same inks, then used the coordinating Coffee Talk die cuts to cut them all out.  I dried my panel with a heat tool after splashing on some extra ink, then rubbed it with an embossing buddy and used the coordinating sentiments to emboss in white.  What fun sayings!  

I had cut a couple of extra cups and used them with some scrap card to make a gift card pocket for my card innie.  I hope you'll check out these fun stamps on the Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps website and visit the blog for more inspiration.

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Guest Designer

 

 

Hi friends!  I'm slowly getting caught up with preparing my catch up posts.  Today I wanted to share my latest guest designer projects for my September posts with Coffee Loving Cardmakers.  If you've followed me for any length of time, you will know how much I enjoy participating in the CLC challenges.  What an honor to be able to join the team as a guest!  I have to say the card above is one of my favorites from this month.  You can find the full post HERE with all of the details. 

The next card must be my second favorite, shared HERE.  I used the Darkroom Door Teacups stamp on the foreground, layered over a background made with the Darkroom Door Fancy Flourish stamp using Distress Inks and Oxides.

This card seemed to be one of your favorites and was such fun to make!  Find the full post HERE.  I used Distress Inks in Weathered Wood, Vintage Photo and Antique Linen to watercolor the gorgeous AALL & Create Flower Pots stamp set.  I cut the little tags from leftover inky paper and layered with  more AALL & Create stamping.

AALL & Create Coffee Cup Flower Pots Card

I've been dying to share this fun card with you guys!  It's the only one I've made for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop so far, but it's one of my all time favorites. 

I pieced together some gel printed and brayered papers.  The circles were made on the prints by adding cardstock circles directly onto my gel plate between printing (to remove some of the paint).  I cut a circle from the brayered book page to complete the design, then stitched the around the layers, highlighting the circle pattern. 

I just had to have this darling stamp set, Flower Pots by Fiona Paltridge for AALL & Create.  I used Distress Inks and a water brush to color each pot to coordinate with my printed papers.  I made a tag with a scrap print to dangle the sentiment. 

I am having so much fun adding stitching to my mixed media projects these days, but now I am out of sewing needles.  What product are you missing during isolation?  I find so many ways to make do, but some things just can't be replaced!  Here's to better days my friends!  Hugs, Autumn

Oh my gosh!  There is NEVER enough time to craft all of the cards that I have in my head for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  So I think this will be my last make for the Fall/Winter hop.  :(

I am sooooo tired from our weekend getaway and have to work all weekend this coming weekend.  But I have to ask if y'all have tried the PB Cinnamon Spice Latte?  It is sooooo good.  I don't like super sweet drinks, so this is my new favorite!  Coffee to the rescue today!

This card uses more of the wooden chippies and paper from Joann's, with the Tutti Designs fall wreath and a Penny Black coffee cup.  

I embossed the Tim Holtz pumpkin Bigz die in Ranger's new Mixed Media Embossing Powder in Hammered.  I LOVE this stuff you guys!!!  Especially the color Fire!  The sweet little sentiment is from an old SU! stamp set.  I've had so much fun seeing all of your makes this week.  Happy hopping.  Hugs, Autumn
