Darkroom Door Cards for Topflight Stamps 5th Birthday Blog Hop

 

Hi everyone!  I'm excited to be celebrating the Topflight Stamps 5th birthday and I’ve teamed up with some great designers to showcase celebratory projects using the unique products available at Topflight Stamps. For my card I wanted to use bright and cheery colors, so I stamped the harlequin background from the Grunge Marks stamp set by Darkroom Door in an array of colors of Distress Oxide.  Next, I stamped and colored the Fine Leaves and Garden Birds and watercolored them.  I finished by stamping a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings set and layering these elements over a circle cutout.

Topflight Stamps Birthday Blog Hop

It's Topflight Stamps 3rd birthday and to celebrate, I’ve teamed up with some great designers to showcase birthday cards using the unique products available at TopflightStamps.com. I made a pair of card featuring lots of lovely stamps by Darkroom Door. I started by inking a watercolor panel with my stash of Distress Stains that hadn't seen any use in a long while.

I was able to get two cards from my panel.

For the first I used the Bottles stamp set and filled it with blossoms from the Warm Wishes stamp set.  To create some contrast, I used texture paste with the Handwritten Script stencil.  The tiny tag came from the Warm Wishes set and the yellow sentiment is from the Happy Birthday sentiment strip stamp.  I used another portion of this sentiment on a second card.  I stamped the Garden Birds and watercolored one to coordinate.  I added some transparent embossing powder over the still wet Distress Stains for contrast, then stamped the Dots eclectic stamp on the background and embossed the Happy Birthday in white for contrast.

I’m looking for a team of five or so creative individuals who will share design team duties to include:

1. As a part of the monthly challenge inspiration, one project photo per month with link to your own personal blog post containing a tutorial or tips and tricks for assembling one of the abovementioned book forms.
2. Rotating with other DT members to post one complete tutorial on challenge blog per month.  (If five team members, then one complete project every five months.)
3. Encourage, comment and support challenge entries.

Two Year Blogiversary Giveaway Celebration!

Hello my lovelies!  As you know, I have been a busy bee this season with my daughter graduating, a special trip for her, getting our house on the market to sell, and now a family vacation!  In addition to my design team work, I have been zoom zoom zoom from one minute to the next these days!  In fact, I was away with my girls on the date of my TWO YEAR BLOGIVERSARY!  But I was determined not to let the event pass notice, so I am hosting a giveaway to run in my absence this week.  To thank all of my crafty friends and sweet supporters, I am giving away the prize package pictured below.  I will announce the lucky winner on Sunday, June 18.
