Tracy Evan’s AALL & Create Stenciled Cards

Hi friends!  I have another batch of Tracy Evans cards to share with you today that I made hanging out with my mom.  If you missed my last post where I shared a fun video tutorial on using pigment powders with stencils, hop on over HERE.  For this card I just used ink blending brushes with Distress Inks in Lucky Clover and Salty Ocean.  I didn't blend in the center so I could put my focal stamp there.  I spritzed the ink with water and blotted for a more mottled look.

I used a pretty coral pink for the tips of this flower because it reminded me of a succulent.  :)

I tried to get a good print from the ink left on the stencil by spritzing it with water.  The result was very faded, but pretty.  I added some light ink blending along the edges for more contrast.  

This time I colored the tips with a pretty orchid color of ink - fun!

Next, I made a couple of cards for Tracy's FB challenge for June/July, themed Heartfelt.  I used Distress Inks in Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry.

I used my label tape maker to fill in the sentiment.  The three birds represent my girl gang at work.  I wanted to give the girls these cards to express my gratitude to them for joining me in a beautiful Bible study last month.

For the second card I used repeat stamping with my stamp platform to stamp some background stamps in multiple colors.  I used Distress Oxides in Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry and Cracked Pistachio.

I fussy cut the center flower for dimension and left it more white.

I moved onto a couple of CAS cards in a more shabby look.

This flower by Tracy is one of my absolute favorites.  I fussy cut a second flower and offset it for a fuller flower.  I used Spun Sugar and Evergreen Bough.

And for the last card I fussy cut several of those blossoms for extra dimension.  The colors are prettier IRL on this one.  I used Spun Sugar and Vintage Photo.  I hope these cards inspire you today!  xx, Autumn

AALL & Create Tracy Evans Brusho & Color Burst Tutorial

 

Hi everyone!  I'm excited today to be sharing a new video tutorial with you on using pigment powders to create different types of backgrounds with stencils.  For these cards I used Brushos and Color Bursts.  They both work the same way.  I also focused on using Tracy Evans stamps for AALL & Create.  You can find the quick video tutorial HERE (and I'm actually talking!  LOL!).  

This first sample shows a very delicate stencil.  I lost some of the pattern doing the initial print, but I love the lightness and airy feeling!

This card shows a secondary print, or monoprint.  These prints are always more defined and are usually bolder.  

Another secondary print.  I gave my  mom an in person demonstration on how to use the powders and she came up with this beautiful card design, which I CASEd.  

And a second colorway, CASEing my mom's card again.  

I drew these little humps to sort of frame the panel.  

I absolultely loved this card!  It was a primary print and I lost most of the delicate stencil detail, but still loved it!  You can see that I added a ton of water and this is why I lost the detail, but also what makes it less speckledy.  

This last card is another primary print and I added some white embossing to brighten it up.  I stamped the butterfly on my pickup paper.  

Here you can see the card made from the monoprint beside the original.  (The original is the one I used for the first card on this post with the butterfly.)

And here you can see I used the original for the card and it is beside the monoprint.  You can make so many beautiful backgrounds in just a couple of hours of playing!

Tracy Evans AALL & Create Accordion Mini Book

 

Hi friends!  Today I have a new accordion mini album to share with you from my second time working through Tracy Evans' Accordion Book Workshop.  I made Tracy's album very similar to her original in the live class several years ago, posted HERE.  It's always great fun to take one of Tracy's classes, which you can join through her FB group HERE.  

For the covers of my book, I used an Eileen Hull die.  My insides were a little too thick, so I added a button closure.  I used PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylics in Hint of Mint, Sargasso and Blue Jeans.  I've created a little flip through on YouTube HERE.  

 

For my pages, I used Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Shaded Lilac, Faded Jeans and Salvaged Patina.  I added in some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink for the pops of yellow.

My mom and I worked through this class together and it was a lot of fun.  I ended up making two similar books rather than decorating the backsides of my accordion and will try to share book two with you soon.
