Angelic Stamped and Metallic Tree Christmas Cards

Hello sweeties!  I hope you had a lovely long Thanksgiving weekend.  We had a wonderful time and I feel more rested and less stressed than I have in a long time.  :)  Today I'm sharing the cards my mom, Barbara and I made on our Friday play day.  Our goal was to make four cards and we managed six, but for the life of me I cannot find the first two we made (and can't even remember what they looked like...)  Anywho, I'll share the rest.  :)

I started feeling better from my nasty caugh/fever Wednesday and cut each of us three sets of Memory Box poinsettia dies so we could make flower embellishments for our cards.  These are cut from red paper and inked.  Each petal is curled, then they are glued together by pressing the centers into a soft foam with a stylus.  A simple pearl adorns the center and they rest on a bed of punched springs (McGill).

I raided my stamp stash and decided on a few select images that we hadn't used much.  This fair lady made the cut.  Isn't it a wonderful image?

We always try to make two of each design.

These cards came together in a jiff!  I'm sharing them along with another winter card on the Tutti Designs blog today if you'd care to hop over.  They were made with one of my favorite Tutti Designs dies, Viney Christmas Tree.  The regal gold really makes a statement against the red.  Thanks Barbara for working out this beautiful design.  I look forward to catching up with you all this week.  Hugs, Autumn

A gorgeous image on the vintage looking card and the poinsettias add the perfect festive touch. The Christmas trees are delightful; rich and elegant in red and gold. Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are feeling rested. We are having a super hot day here today 100.4 and it's not even Summer yet!

Oh Autumn these are such stunning designs, and how fun to have such a crafty session together! That angel stamp is a real beauty, - any any idea who makes it? It looks like a gorgeous medeaval print! The Tutti design cards are gorgeous too, that is indeed such a beautiful die!!
So glad to hear you are feeling better again and had a lovely Thanksgiving! We don't celebrate it here in Europe of course as it is an American holiday, but I always love hearing about it....

Oh I do hope you are feeling better soon! I myself had that same nasty thing for the last two weeks- it was no fun, especially when cooking and entertaining for 13! Yuck!
Sending warm hugs and well wishes

I have SOOO much catching up to do! Lousy friend, I am, not even knowing that you were feeling bad. I'm so sorry! I hope you are back to your old self! Just on day two of it myself, but hoping Zicam does what it promises.

Your two sets of cards are stunning, my friend! Those poinsettias rival those that God makes for us! And I adore that die cut, especially in gold. Your rich red background really sets it off, and I'm coming to appreciate flat cards much more. They are simple to mail, and as your's proves they can be very elegant! You never fail to inspire me! Sending big hugs!

These are beautiful cards. I especially like the gorgeous flowers. I think we started stamping about the same time as I have many of the same stamps as you! I'll have to get that pretty angel out and do some stamping!

Astrid, I looked it up and it is an oldie Stampers Anonymous stamp. I thought maybe Stampington and was surprised! Perhaps it is still available on the SA website. :)

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather, but glad that you're coming out the other side now. What a wonderful play day you had with your mother... and great results too! I love the image of the woman - how intricate and magnificent she is - and the cards will brighten any mantlepiece or windowsill.
