Simple Stamped Wendy Vecchi Floral Notecards

Remember that Zella Teal Birthday Organizer I posted HERE?  Well, I was in need for some "mailable" birthday cards.  To me mailable can be synonymous with FLAT (boring maybe???) but necessary.  Well I pulled out some of the backgrounds I made at the lake with Sara Emily.  These are Distress Oxide and Distress Ink backgrounds all embossed in Sara Emily's Tim Holtz embossing folders.

I went over the corners with my Versamark pad and added Stampendous Frantage in chunky gold to add some shimmer.

I dug through and found some coordinating solid panels I had made and cut them with Tim's new Stacked Baroque die.  Next I sponged the stencil coordinate of the Wendy Vecchi Chrysanthemum stamp in similar colors onto cream card.  I thought it would be nice to stamp over the stencil work so the image would be offset and have some white space here and there.  I embossed it in gold then fussy cut.

I hope the texture accounts for the lack of embellishments and somehow these will bring a smile to my friends and family's faces.  :)  They were fun to make, nevertheless!

Autumn these notelets are fabulous, I love seeing different colourways as what we see as individuals can appear so different when seen through anothers eyes. Your embossed backgrounds really set the backdrop for Wendy's stamps. A delightful trio each as charming as the next.
Creative hugs for a wonderful weekend Tracey xx

These beautiful note cards in no way are boring, they are absolutely beautiful. Love the texture on the background and the pop of gold frantage. The offsetting of the flower stamping looks great and again the gold looks wonderful. They don't even look flat, they look stunning x

Absolutely NOTHING boring about these amazing cards, Autumn! that gold embossing takes them from fabulous to elegantly fantastic! I love the colors! So good to see how you've used those embossed designs, and now you have me itching to get into the Closet! (Except I have a mess here that needs all my attention.) Happy Memorial Day, my friend! Somehow I missed leaving you a comment but these are stunning, Autumn! They look just like those specialty cards from Papyrus that cost a butt-load. Haha. Your embossing and gold touches are elegant but those flowers make it! Beautiful.
