I had a play with watercolors, making an abstract background, then going over it with Distress Ink in Crushed Olive using a PaperArtsy stencil, PS101.
I used the Darkroom Door Number Medley stamp set to stamp with more Crushed Olive through the stencil. This is a great "texture stamp" set and stamping through an open stencil is such a fun way to add interest to backgrounds.

So clever to use the octopus tentacles to create sea coral and/or sea weed. Fabulous card!
Your underwater scene looks so realistic! I love it!
Now that bg is so deep it takes awhile to take it all in. Your scene is very eye catching and detailed.
I love all the layers of color and texture. Fantastic card!

Wonderful textures in this fabulous & gorgeous card; love it.
Blew me away with this card. So gorgeous and I love the colors!!!
What a fabulous card Autumn - loving all the texture, and I must admit that it's a long time since I stamped through a stencil - thanks for the reminder! I love that you made extra watercolour-panels, and then used them to stamp the main images on!
Stay safe
Blessings

Such beautiful colors i wouldn't have naturally thought to grab for the seahorse. All the layers work together to give so much detail and interest to the card. I'm inspired to pull out that punch from my stash and use it as you have.
Such a creative mixed media scene!

This is so fabulous! Your talent has no bounds! Thanks for sharing!
Seahorses are such magical creatures. I love your background colors and how you used other stamps to create the sea scene, in particular the octopus for kelp. I would never have thought about that.
Fantastic card. I love the greens used for the underwater scene.
