Hey sweet friends! I have so enjoyed playing with a new stamp and die cut combo, Hope Blooms, by Creative Worship Stamps this month! It's such a beautiful and versatile stamp set and the convenience of using the dies really allows you to make great combinations and dimension. Both of these cards feature light colored flowers, oddly enough, so next time I will try to pack a color punch! Ha ha!
I just love trying to watercolor white flowers! I inked this one with a combination of Antique Linen, Mowed Lawn and Evergreen Bough Distress Inks. I used the dies to cut the flower and leaves then layered them onto the Stitched Circles die, which I had splashed with watery Evergreen Bough ink. I popped the die cut sentiment up and layered over a dry embossed teal background, dotted with pearl adhesive embellishments.
My next card features another flower from the Hope Blooms stamp and die bundle. I went a bit grungy with this one, creating an inky background from Frayed Burlap, Bundled Sage and Weathered Wood, overstamping with the Vintage Snippets stamp set. I colored the focal flower using the same inks and cut it with the coordinating dies. I made a long inky tag and added a die cut sentiment.
This card makes me happy! I hope it makes you smile today too. xx, Autumn
