The other day I took a little road trip and picked up this cool new ledger stencil. I decided to make my own watercolor background using it for contrast (sorry the contrast part didn't work out because of the permanent watercolor...) I was so thrilled to guest design for IndigoBlu last week with
THIS card. It's funny that I used the exact same red watercolor, Dr. PH Martin's, but this card turned out a little different.
I went with the same black, white, and red combo, but used this awesome butterfly. I framed it with Tim's new ornate frame and added some cheesecloth for texture. Some simple stitching and chit chat stickers and doodles complete this simple card. I can't wait to see what you all have been up to. I am so behind but hope to catch up tonight!

Autumn, such a beautiful mixed media creation. Some of my favorite parts? All of it, right down to the stitching, little black doodle boxes around the awesome sentiment, gorgeous color, texturizing cheesecloth behind your pretty butterfly - and the words in your ledger! Pinned - and sure it will be repinned! Hoping you enjoy a fabulous week-end, Autumn!
Now for my other hat: Thanks for sharing with us at the {Scrapy Land Challenge}! Hope to see your pretty projects again soon!

Wonderful!!!!!!! I got that frame die recently but haven't used it yet. I keep it sitting by my machine for when the deadlines are met and I can just play and incorporate it into something!!!
Hmmm - love the gauze and frame - makes me think your butterfly is at my window - clinging to my screen - flittering his beautiful underbelly at me! Super lovely background for him too! Loved seeing this lovely card Autumn. XX j.

So beautiful and such a wonderful way to frame the butterfly, it certainly pulls the eye in. The colour palette is bold yet at the same time, so shabby - stunning.

That black stitching around the edge really is perfect to "contain" this piece, and it echoes the frame... Nice visual arrangement. Happy weekend!
