Graciellie Design New Release and Giveaway

card 1

I am so excited today to share in the April release of Graciellie Design’s Digital Stamps. Gracie’s stamps are brilliantly designed and extremely versatile.  I have been super lucky to play with this set called New Beginnings.

Gracie

I really love the ability to size the digital images specifically for my project.  I wanted to use the petals to highlight some 3D flowers, and sized them to approximately  2" wide and printed multiples onto one sheet of cardstock.  I really love the result.

card 2

I am still dabbling in watercolor and love it for mixed media.  The background is stencil paste.  I loosly colored every element with washes of the same colors.  The flowers are handmade.  I made them in white, then colored them to match my project.
card 3

If you are like me and don't work in Photoshop, let me give you a tip on creating chalkboard art from digital stamps.  Right click on the image and open with Microsoft Paint, a free program.  Zoom in as large as possible and use the paint bucket to fill areas with color.  First I filled the white background with pink, then the black letters with white, then the pink background with black.  You have to use an "off color" in between steps or everything goes to black or white.  To create the chalky look, I just rubbed my printed and die cut sentiment with real chalk.  Easy peasy!

card 4

This gorgeous set, with the most wonderful sentiments, along with the other new digital stamps can be found at Graciellie Design’s shop HERE.  If you want to check out last month’s release and blog hop click here.

Thank you, Autumn, for showcasing digis that I might actually use on a regular basis! (While many people rock cute cartoon-y digis, they are not my taste, I guess you'd say.) Your bold colors are so attractive with the delicate digi.
