Tim Holtz Large Stems Spring Green Leaves Card
Hello hello! Today I'm sharing another card featuring the Tim Holtz Large Stems Bigz L die, as part of the new Chapter 1 Sizzix release. Make sure to check out the full release HERE. When I saw the leafy branch I envisioned a vivid green like the early spring leaves, my absolute favorite color in the world. I ended up going a tad darker with my card because I can't seem to help myself in regards to grunging everything up! LOL!
I cut two pieces and sponged them heavily with Distress Inks, stamped them with the script from the Entomology stamp set, then curled the leaves and glued the stems together, slighly offsetting the design.
For my background I dipped some of Tim's Paper Stash in Distress Inks, stamped another of Tim's script stamps, then added strips of tissue tape. I double stitched around the edge of the panel and layered over a sheet of paper canvas.
I used Tim's Friendship Words dies to make my sentiment, both sponged to coordinate. I wrapped thin jute around the panel and tied a bow to finish it off. I have SO many ideas for the leaves alone in this die and can't wait to get back in the studio. Here's to crafty days ahead!

This card is a real thing of beauty Autumn, a marvellous study of that simple leafy branch. With it's rich greens it's a sign of new life and that Spring will soon be here. I adore the latest TH releases but I have resisted this die. May have to add this one to the collection now. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm playing catch up as i've been down with a bug for over a week now.. Off to check out some more.
Big Hugs Tracey xx
Love love love this Autumn - the greens are stunning, and I love the way you have glued the leaves together slightly offset. As for that grungy background - it's the perfect background to show off the leaves.
Blessings

What wonderful colors!I love the curling of the leaves and the double stitching around the card, also this card is a poem and I love it!

Dear Autumn, a most beautiful creation, filled with the promise of spring, and so lovely with the textstamp behind the leaf and your words. Sending a hug . xx
I really do think that die is worth buying just for this leaf branch alone, it may have to fall into my basket... Your card is beautiful, another statement piece and I love the way you added the stamping, it is very effective. Apologies for my erratic visits, we are just recovering from a horrible virus and trying to keep up with everything is a bit of a struggle. I do hope things are a little better at your end. Thinking of you. Hugs, Anne xx
So gorgeous Autumn, loveee that green and the layering up of the diecuts I just did something similar with the new cottontail. Xxx
Another winner! I always admire how (seemingly) effortlessly you create and achieve such stunning results. Your creations always ooze style and very good taste!
OMG girl this is GORGEOUS! You sure have a nack for grunge ... always beautiful where when I do it, it just looks kind of dirty ... but I'll keep trying! LOL LOVE LOVE LOVE the shorthand book in the background ... caught my eye right away ... I still remember some of my shorthand but you know what they say ... if you don't use it you lose it ... certainly true with shorthand! LOL Thanks for FABULOUS inspiration. Still praying for your family! HUGS
THUD! You could tip me over with a feather! My goodness, the leaves look fabulous with all those incredibly beautiful details you've cast as supporting actors. You knocked every single one of your samples out of the park! Love, love, LOVE the springlike feeling when I look at this card, and can't help but smile! Big hugs!
Loving the rustic colours, your card is fab!!

The double layering of the stem is really effective, and I love the stitching of your beautiful background layers. Another beauty!

Hi, Autumn! Sigh.... so completely gorgeously heartwarming! You’ve captured Nature’ S Artistry brilliantly! Love the shading in the stem and leaves. Such an earthiness in your background, too. It’s pure loveliness! xx
Oh Autumn! What clever idea to double up on that stem! Love the Spring feel to this - I could almost believe it's on it's way, my walk today meant I had to wrap up again after a warm day yesterday!! Hugs, Chrisx
