To create this flower I stamped "Winter Glow" 2808L, my favorite poinsettia stamp of all time, three times in Festive Berries Distress Ink and cut it out in graduating sizes. I used my curling techniques from my DIY Paper Flower Post HERE. Once it was glued together, I brushed it with a gold pigment ink pad and then used gold embossing powder to make the highlights. Then I took some tiny Prima flowers and scrunched them up and glued them to the center of the flower - viola!
For the background I stamped "Winter Scroll" 3239K in Festive Berries repeatedly onto kraft cardstock, then inked it lightly and distressed the edges. I embossed "Holly Christmas" 2205F in gold to create a little "gift tag" and layered over burlap paper and a gold loopy bow.

I am with you on the Brush Stroke range Autumn, the are indeed so versatile and lend themselves so well to those of us who like a bit of ink.
Your Christmas creation is glorious and the Poinsettia has so much dimension with all those layers and splashed of gold.

Such a beautiful card and lovely having you join us over at PB - Thank You x Susan x
to me, the distress edges looks very perfect! i use tim hotz distress edge but cant achieve the same result as yours :p
I horrible with the Tim Hotz distress thingy. I get better results using a pumice stone. hahaha
I usually use the edge of my scissors! Ha, so many ways to do the same thing. I'll have to try the pumice stone. :) Thanks Christine!
