Tim Holtz Butterfly Valentine Burlap 4x4s

My local friends (Hi Madelyn!  Hi Bonnie!  Hi Barbara!  Hi Carol!) and I do a regular tag/art swap.  Each of us purchased Tim's carousel tower clip display to fill them up with our swap art.  I made these burlap 4x4s with the Tim Holtz Small Detailed Butterflies die.

I based my minis on THIS framed collage panel I did in my stint as GD for Simon Says Stamp last January, only on a much smaller scale.  I cut my 4x4 substrates from heavy chipboard then adhered burlap paper over the tops.  The elements are basically the same as described in my first post.

Here are my other projects for our little swaps in case you missed them.  Our next challenge theme is Easter - what fun!  Wish me luck.

So beautiful! I love the texture on the butterflies - it looks like rusted iron - and that deep red colour is very appealing! Your swap buddies will be thrilled!

Wow! You have been so busy, Autumn! I can't say which I find more beautiful! I love the key within the butterfly's body, and will be casing that symbolic design idea - I love it - really speaks to my soul. Your color choices against the burlap textures are, again, beautifully symbolic. (the dymo labeler sentiments look great!). How lovely your framed artwork is with the pretty colors and wonderful layers of textures. Your swaps and tags are also soul-touchingly lovely! Gorgeous artwork, and I can hardly wait to see your Easter designs! hugs, de

Autumn, I think you have one upped your design here! I love this smaller version, and I'm so impressed by each and every detail. The thing that especially tickles me is the little bundle of string at the center of the 'o'! It's the little things! Your design is just wonderful, and I've got to case this so I can get my creative spirit back! I do have to say two great minds once again, as I used my butterfly and a little rust on something just last night. Hee Hee! Sending big hugs!

Jaw off the floor time here again my friend! In awe of the butterfly creations, so symbolic; rich in texture and hue and a delight for any one to receive. Love the sentiment on the "Discover" projects and the soft spring colours. Then onto the Autumnal tags, inspirational too. A feast for the eye and the spirit. Thank you for sharing your prodigious talent with the world. x
